The Magic Of The Getting Started
Training

I saw a roadrunner last week.
Remember the cartoon show Bugs Bunny? Remember that crazy bird that would go
"Meep Meep!" at the coyote? One of those ran across a dirt road in front of
me as I drove
through the desert mountains in southern Spain last week.
Spain is beautiful. I was on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea building my
MLM business. A gorgeous place called Alicante. That roadrunner reminded me
of how much fun it is to go fast. Fast is always more fun than slow.
I was only in Alicante for 24 hours. I had one key leader
there, and we were opening a brand new market. I don't
speak Spanish. It's a good thing my leader Eric did.
He had set us up 5 2-on-1 presentations that day. To my
surprise, all 5 showed. And 3 of them brought guests. We
ended up showing the plan to 8 people. Can you believe it?
I LOVE Spain! Where I come from, out of 5 only 1 or 2
would show, 2 would call to cancel and 2 wouldn't even
bother calling. Never mind bringing guests to look. What
a difference in cultures....
When language is an issue, I have always found that simple
works best. My business presentation is now 9 minutes
long in total. With translation into Spanish, we could do
a plan in 20 minutes, give or take a minute. That's it. Short and sweet.
Talk about the product, why it's important, what makes it unique, and how we
get paid. Tight. Fast. The question is, "Is it effective?"
We signed 5 out of the 8. The last 4 all walked away with
product. Four signups in a row to end the day. Pretty exciting stuff!
What really excited me however was how teachable my key
guy Eric was. Within 3 presentations he knew the 9-minute
plan cold. He had it mastered in English and in Spanish.
Near the end of the day I just knew that he could do this
on his own.
But the great part was his Getting Started Trainings. He
had bought my course The Ultimate MLM Blueprint some time ago. He took the
initiative to create a Fast Start Form
in Spanish based on examples in the course. He customized it for tools
pertaining to Spain, the culture, the work ethic, etc. What's so fantastic
about this is all 5 of
his new team mates will start the same way. They will be
focused on action and results. They will be well-equipped
with the right tools, information, attitudes and direction
to not only make an impact quickly, but to make their
business grow fast.
The older an MLM company, the greater the chances are of
complexity. It can be tough to give a 9 minute presentation when you have 65
products, 3 divisions and tons of different ways to start. An untold secret
of MLM is SIMPLE IS BEST. A great Fast Start Form for your team will help
your new members cut away the clutter and confusion, and get focused from
that critical Day 1. If your team doesn't use a Fast Start Form, it's up to
you as the leader of your team to create one.
Spain is spectacular. It is so amazing to build businesses around the world
in other cultures and languages. I've discovered it's a whole lot of fun to
build fast through simplicity. When in doubt, cut some out.

duplicatable Getting Started Training for your team and
cut your presentation down in length. See if it makes
building your business more fun!
