Three Ideas To Help Keep Downline From Quitting

I was shocked and dismayed recently. I surveyed over 500 network marketers and asked them this question: "What is the biggest problem in your business?".

You know what the #1 problem was?

"People keep quitting".

Here are 3 things that I know will help improve your retention rate.

1. Get Them A Check!

New rookies don't need a huge check to radically alter their belief systems. Help them sponsor 2-3 new downline members and retail some product. You can't believe the impact a $50 bonus check can have on someone!

2. Get Them Some Business Cards That Work!

It's remarkable how much longer a rookie will stay in the game when they have business cards. For some psychological reason they can't quit until they have given out their cards. But don't use the company cards. They have no sales message and no benefit statements. I ALWAYS had the new guy get a lead capture website and get an eye-catching website name from http://www.youneedaname.com and put them prominently on their business cards.

3. Get Them A Product Story!

I have a friend in Australia who interviews his downline members on audiotape. He plays investigative reporter and asks them questions on how the products from their MLM company have benefited them after about 4-6 weeks.

He has hours of testimonials to use. And all of his frontline has tremendous product stories to share, because he makes them rehearse it and write it out before taping them.

Even subtle benefits, if brought into the customer's consciousness, are often enough to create lifetime product loyalty.

People quit everything, all the time. If you can increase the retention time that someone stays on your product even by 1-2 months it can have a huge impact on your bonus check!
